Keith Burgess - Fine Artist
Hiawassee, GA - United States
Keith Burgess is a representational painter residing in the Blue Ridge Mountains of north Georgia, USA. He worked as a graphic artist/illustrator for a major publishing corporation in Atlanta for 30 years. In 2003 he left the corporate world to paint full time. He creates landscape, figurative, still life and commissioned portrait paintings. His works are held in private collections throughout the United States and Mexico.
'I work in the tradition of earlier representational artists who painted their surroundings, inspired by nature. My painting style is derived from 19th century Impressionism. I am especially drawn to the landscape as a source of spirituality. Beauty manifests itself in subtle ways and what might seem commonplace to some is inspiring to me. My job is simply to transform the ordinary.'
